Abhiraj Maliah, CPA, serves as Director of Finance for IUOE Local 955, providing strategic financial leadership and governance oversight for the union and its affiliated trust funds. He is responsible for financial planning, reporting, budgeting, internal controls, audit coordination, and long-term fiscal strategy to ensure the continued stability and sustainability of member resources.

Abhiraj provides executive financial oversight for the Health & Wellness Trust Fund, Pension Trust Fund, and Apprenticeship & Education Trust Fund. Working closely with trustees, administrators, actuaries, auditors, and investment advisors, he supports prudent governance, regulatory compliance, and the responsible management of benefit programs that safeguard the long-term financial security of Local 955 members and their families.

Prior to joining IUOE Local 955, Abhiraj served as Finance Manager (Controllership) at CGI Inc., where he directed financial operations for a $100M+ business unit. He led budgeting and forecasting, ensured IFRS compliance, and implemented process improvements that enhanced reporting accuracy and operational efficiency. Earlier in his career, he worked with the Government of Alberta managing large-scale public sector budgets.

Abhiraj holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta and earned his CPA designation. He remains committed to the highest standards of financial integrity and accountability in service to Local 955 members.
