This one-day course will help Job Stewards understand their responsibilities and the tools available to support them, including legal support and union materials. Participants will gain an understanding of their rights and duties under Alberta’s labor laws and union regulations, including how to handle grievances and resolve conflicts. The course will enhance communication and leadership skills to help Job Stewards effectively support their coworkers and maintain a strong union presence, in addition to a focus on advocating for workplace health and safety within Alberta’s OH&S legislation.
