Local 955 News & Events

This year is a big one for us. For three-quarters of a century, IUOE Local 955’s been at the forefront of building, maintaining, and providing essential public services to communities across the province. From construction, mining and crane operating to health care, school divisions, municipalities and much more, our members are the backbone of Alberta.

We’re also celebrating 50 years of our Pension Trust Fund. That’s five decades of providing dignity and security for members after a lifetime of hard work. We’re incredibly proud of that.

Local 955 helped build the oilsands. We build pipelines, roads and skylines. We keep hospitals and schools running. We ensure highways are safe. We are a big part of Alberta’s history and will be a big part of Alberta’s future.

Thank you to members and leadership, both past and present, for making Local 955 what it is today. We can’t wait to see what the next 75 years holds.
